Wine making is an ancient art. Ahhh but don’t let that scare you off. It is really not that difficult. You already know more than the ancient winemakers did just by being born in this century. The most important thing to do is to following the directions and then cleanliness. This site is dedicated to people who are thinking about making their own wine, for beginners or seasoned Wine Makers. Whatever the case, you have come to the right place.
There are many ways to look at this. Costs. For the very best kits with the best grapes. Each bottle will come out to around six dollars. These are bottles that could very easily sell for fourteen at the store and all the way up to twenty four. I have a Merlot that I made that I will put up against any twenty four dollar bottle.
Enjoyment. This is a nice hobby with the added benefit of showing off to your friends. You can use the label that came with the kit or make your own. Give away bottles as gifts. Or something to pull out at any given moment. You will always have wine on hand for day or night. A fresh crisp white for the summer patio. Or a more serious red for the evening.
And finally unless we forget. It’s an art. After you become more comfortable with making your own kits. You can add or not add what you want. Maybe you want to use French Oak instead of the American Oak that came with it. But save that American Oak. You may use it later. Or maybe you just want to follow the directions so you can drink your wine as soon as possible.
It’s very possible that you will have more wine then there is time to drink. So come on in. The waters fine.
